Tunnel Tucker here, crawling out of the vents of a reality-TV set, where I just witnessed the saddest plot twist since the Titanic hit that ice cube.

Comedian Judy Gold went on a reality show and admitted she was disappointed that her two sons turned out straight, because she was hoping for gay sons. The clip went viral on X, and the internet collectively asked the same question: lady, did you order your kids off Etsy?

Most parents' biggest disappointment is a C in algebra or a kid who wants to be a "content creator." Judy's is that her boys like girls. That's the tragedy. Somewhere, a father in Ohio whose son just totaled the minivan is reading this like, "Wow, must be nice."

Think about the childhood here. Every birthday, Judy's waiting by the cake like it's a gender reveal. Every Christmas, she's watching them unwrap a football and sighing like she just got a parking ticket. Kid brings home a girlfriend and Mom's in the kitchen whispering, "Where did I go wrong? I played them so much Broadway."

And you know she tried. Rainbow nursery. Show tunes on loop. A Liza Minnelli poster over the crib like a guardian angel. And the boys still came out asking about fantasy football. That's nature, folks. Mother Nature looked at the playlist and said, "No thank you."

Our team of investigative sewer rats has obtained what we're calling the Judy Gold Parenting Manual, which we definitely did not invent five minutes ago:

Chapter 1: Loving your children unconditionally.
Chapter 2: Conditions.
Chapter 3: How to return a heterosexual son within 30 days with the original receipt.

In a statement that is 100% parody, a fictional spokesperson for the Coastal Parents Association said, "Having an LGBTQ kid is the new Tesla in the driveway. If your kid is straight, you basically drive a Corolla. And nobody brags at brunch about a Corolla."

That's really what's going on here. In some circles, a kid isn't a kid anymore. He's a bumper sticker. An accessory. A conversation starter at the Hamptons cocktail party, right between the oat-milk latte and the Ukraine flag emoji.

Meanwhile, the two sons are out there doing the most rebellious thing a kid can do in a progressive household: being normal. No dramatic coming-out. No TikTok announcement. Just two dudes eating wings and watching the game while Mom stares at them like they failed a drug test.

Boys, if you're reading this, you're welcome in the sewer any time. We don't care who you date. We just think it's hilarious that your mom does.

This has been Tunnel Tucker. In Lib Lunacy, the parents are the ones throwing tantrums, and the kids are the only adults left in the room.

The Demorat is satire. The parenting manual and spokesperson quotes are invented for comedy.
