Nearly 7,000 Americans died taking Iwo Jima. These statues commemorate the guys who raised the flag so the rest of us could keep arguing about pronouns. And some DACA alumni decides the proper response is to decapitate a Marine with a tool you normally use to break rocks or, apparently, American memory.
Democrats spent years telling us DACA recipients were the best and brightest, future doctors and engineers who just wanted to contribute. Turns out one of them wanted to contribute a sledgehammer to the face of a WWII memorial. The same crowd that loses its mind when a Confederate statue comes down is suddenly nowhere to be found when an illegal alien beheads a Marine who actually died for the country.
Virginia is a sanctuary state. Fairfax County has ignored over 1,600 ICE detainers. Sex offenders and murderers walk. And now we have a former DACA recipient treating the Iwo Jima monument like it’s a speed bump. The White House called it out: “This criminal illegal alien’s dream is over.” Meanwhile, the usual suspects are busy writing headlines that say “Virginia man” instead of “illegal alien former DACA recipient.” Because accuracy might hurt feelings.
The Marines raised that flag under fire. This guy raised a sledgehammer under the cover of sanctuary policies. One is history. The other is the inevitable result of pretending borders are racist and memorials are optional. Democrats will call this an isolated incident right up until the next one. And there will be a next one. Because when you import people who hate the country enough to behead its heroes, you don’t get more nurses. You get more headless statues.
The statue can be repaired. The message can’t. Stop importing the people who want to smash it.
